Eostre & Ostara-week
This week is full of exciting things—my Eostre Mitts release, marking the start of my Folklore & Fiber collection! I’m also filming my first cinematic asmr video! Join me for a peek into my week! 🌷
My Eostre Mitts are releasing on the 20th of march, which is also Ostara or Spring Equinox. Will you celebrate? Let’s look a bit closer on my week!
Monday 🌱
Today I’m planning my week, making content (like this post!) and will be doing some admin like pattern release prep work and book keeping (which will happen every day this week..).
Tonight me and Robin will have our weekly meeting. Yes, this sound so boring for a married couple, but this has proved to be such a great thing! Will do a post about this seperately.
Tuesday 🌱
Tomorrow is a regular day at the office with admin tasks and book keeping but after work I have a run planned! I began running this summer after a need of getting out in nature and getting really sweaty and tired - mission accomplished! These last couple of weeks me and R is planning our weekly workouts and it’s been a game changer - highly recommend for parents!
In the evening R goes off to orchestra rehearsal and I will actually film my first ever asmr-video! No, not real person asmr or anything with doctors. I have a wish to make cinematic asmr with crafts in focus. I’m very excited and will start with spinning and carding fiber.
Wednesday 🌱
Wednesday is a abnormal day as we have a meeting with the bank and then we’re going to my grandmother who turns 90 years old!
Afternoon will be spent at home editing videos for this weekends patreon video.
Thursday 🌱
Ostara and release day for Eostre mitts! Excited to put this design out in the world as it’s the first one in my Knitwear Collection “Folklore & Fiber” that will run throughout this year to Imbolc 2026 and will then become an e-book! Very excited to show you the rest of the designs. Next up is Beltane!
I will celebrate Ostara by baking bread, planting seeds and buying some fresh tulips for our kitchen table! 🌷🌷🌷
Friday 🌱
On friday I have a co-working session from 9-12 am and I will most likely do book keeping depending on what theme it is. This co-working group meets up every other week and sometimes is a lunch meeting (always online) and sometimes it’s a work session. Love it! It’s sometimes lonely to work for yourself.
After work on friday we will clean the apartment as we have guests coming for the weekend! We also try to cook something nice for friday dinner, and maybe have a beer or some snacks as well!
Saturday 🌱
Next week Hilma turns 1 year old (excuse me, how?) and this saturday we have a celebration for her! I’m so very excited! And Robins twin brother and his wife is coming from Stockholm and staying over saturday-sunday at our place! Looking forward to this so much!
Sunday 🌱
Sunday will be spent chilling with my brother in law and his wife of course. Maybe a walk by the water and a fika in the sun? I will also try to make time for knitting and relaxing.
🌷 What I read/listen to/watch this week 🌷
I’m currently reading the sequel to “The Phenomenal Women of the Grand Hôtel” by Ruth Kvarnström-Jones and I’m loving it so far. Historic fiction based on real events at the start of 1900s!
Right now I’m on a folkmusic high! Listening to Lady Maisery and Spell Songs.
I’m rewatching Modern Family at the moment and LOVE it. It’s my all time fave. Phil in my heart!
🌷 What spin/knit/sew this week🌷
I’m currently spinning up some amazing fiber from Höner och Eir and it’s rust colored. I just love to start the evening with 30 min of spinning while listening to a book.
I’m knitting on a slipover in Sårk from Gotlands Spinneri and it’s glorious! Amazing yarn and am so excited to make a slipover pattern.
This week I will try to sit down and sew a dress for myself. I have some fabric at home and the spring weather makes me want new things to wear. Will also make a few dresses for Hilma.
Thank you for reading this! I hope you have a great week and weekend. 🌷
Thank you for the music recommandations ! I love Spell Songs too, and especially Julie Fowlis music 😊
Those ASMR/craft videos sound amazing, I am looking forward to those! I am thinking of what I shall do for Oestara, maybe some planting? I'm cooking for myself these days since my husband's illness left him unable to swallow (he has recovered in every other aspect), and I have more than enough baking in the freezer. I love the idea of wearing myself out with exercise, but I still don't like being sweaty and I never found an exercise that a) I enjoyed b) I could easily do. I took up running when I was in my twenties but it made me feel sort of sick afterward so I stopped after about six months. There will definitely be knitting and embroidering going on!
